1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Interactive Cases website (https://www.interactive-cases.com), web application, and mobile application (package: com.interactivecases.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

To use certain features of Interactive Cases, you may need to register an account:

• You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration details.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You agree to notify us immediately at support@interactive-cases.com of any unauthorized account access.

3. Educational Use & Clinical Simulation Scope

Interactive Cases provides cognitive training instruments designed to exercise diagnostic hypotheses, test selection, acute resuscitation algorithms, and management sequencing under simulated clinical constraints.

• No Physician-Patient Relationship: Using Interactive Cases does not establish a physician-patient relationship or any clinical duty of care.
• Simulation Fidelity: While cases are modeled on authentic clinical principles and peer-reviewed medical standards, virtual responses, simulated laboratory timings, and automated physiological feedback are simplified educational models.
• Professional Responsibility: Healthcare professionals and students must exercise independent clinical judgment and verify all medical knowledge against peer-reviewed literature and local hospital guidelines before treating real patients.

4. AI Features & Synthetic Dialogue

Certain modes—including AI Patient simulation and conversational history gathering—utilize artificial intelligence language models to generate synthetic patient dialogue, clinical responses, and educational evaluations.

• AI responses are generated dynamically and may occasionally contain inaccuracies or non-standard phrasing.
• Automated evaluations and clinical scoring rubrics are pedagogical aids, not accredited licensing exam scores.
• You agree not to attempt to extract proprietary model prompts, inject malicious instructions, or manipulate AI endpoints.

5. Subscriptions, Clinical Credits, & Payments

Interactive Cases offers free access to core clinical cases alongside optional premium plans and Clinical Credits:

• Free Catalog: Core curriculum cases and foundational modes are accessible to registered users without mandatory payment.
• Pro Subscriptions: Premium tiers provide enhanced features, advanced simulations, and unlimited session restarts. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• Clinical Credits: Clinical Credits (CC) are virtual platform tokens earned through clinical accuracy or acquired to unlock specialized advanced simulations. Clinical Credits hold no monetary cash value and cannot be redeemed for legal tender.
• Cancellation & Refunds: You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time through your Account Settings on the web portal. Subscriptions are billed on the web and grant multi-platform access across web and Android devices. Refunds are evaluated in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and our standard refund evaluation process.

6. Community & User-Generated Content

Users may create and share community quizzes, study notes, and simulation comments:

• You retain ownership of original educational content you submit, but grant Interactive Cases a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute such content on the platform.
• You must not post protected health information (PHI), identifiable patient records, copyright-infringing materials, or defamatory content.
• We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms or academic integrity standards.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive source code from any part of the platform.
• Scraping, crawling, or automated data harvesting of clinical cases, dossiers, or question banks without prior written consent.
• Circumventing authentication mechanisms, security controls, or usage limits.
• Impersonating another medical professional, student, or platform administrator.
• Sharing account credentials or distributing paid simulation answers externally.

8. Intellectual Property

All clinical cases, interactive simulation software, UI design systems, branding, ECG animations, text, and artwork are the exclusive property of Interactive Cases and its licensors, protected under copyright and international intellectual property treaties.

9. Account Deletion & Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via the in-app profile settings or through our public self-service deletion portal at https://www.interactive-cases.com/delete-account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, compromise platform integrity, or engage in abusive behavior.

10. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERACTIVE CASES AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CLINICAL MISTAKES, LOSS OF DATA, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
